Pizza Horror Game
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a submission for the Haunted PS1s Horrifying Halloween Gamejam of 2019.
The theme was a horrorgame in an low-rez PS1 style.
I thought to make a horror game about delivering pizzas because that's not something you often see.
This game is more a tech demo than a game because I kinda ran out of time, but that's fine since I learned a lot along the way!
I've also never delved into the horror genre before, so I thought it could be fun to try stepping out of my comfort zone!
System Requirements:
- Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10.
- Latest version of .NET Framework.
- Latest version of DirectX.
- Built-in pizza oven.
Things to note:
I didn't program a good text-skipping system, so if you left-click while a dialogue is being printed it will skip that entire text onto the next one, so don't click if you like to read.
Do NOT press 'E'. Doing so softlocks the program until you restart it, I kinda put in a debug message that I forgot to remove afterwards (I know that you're going to press it anyways but hey there's no harm in tellin' ya).
The game is very unfinished so remember that when the lights go out, that's basically when the game ends, ALTHOUGH, some interactable objects DO get different dialogue popups.
If you get an error message about some crust shader or something, just restart the game until it works.
To play the game, extract the contents of the zip into a folder and then click the exe file!
Seeing as this game is highly unfinished, I'm planning to work more on it after the gamejam so that I can release a better version with all the originally planned content, (and trust me, there's a LOT of those).
But all in all, this was definitely a fun and educational experience!
So uh yeah! Hope ya enjoy this fun little test I put together and look forward for the enhanced version!
Update:
I've uploaded a new version that hopefully fixes the issue with the game sometimes crashing on startup!

Good
Played your game in an indie romp video. recorded it a while back and fell in love. saw you just put out an update and glad to see you're still working on it. hope you enjoy the video!
Your game starts at 5:30I love it, hope to see updates soon :)
if i want to download any game on itch.io it doesn't give me the download file it just gives me a adio file
I hope you continue with this project - I really like the crisp artstyle and your sense of humour is great. I made a gameplay video with commentary as part of a series on the Haunted PS1's Horrifying Halloween Game Jam.
Tried alt+enter to fullscreen, unfortunately didn't work. Still stuck in gameboy mode.
Nah bro, you're not pressing the them hard enough.
Bruh this is my 4th keyboard how hard I gotta press?
Ey thank you so much for your kind words and very constructive feedback!
I'll work more on it for sure, and I also hope that you'll enjoy whatever the end result may be (whenever it might be coming out)!

Oh it just means that one of the shaders failed to start when the game started, but you don't have to worry about it, just restart the game and it should work sooner or later.
i tried it over 34 times, but it still does not work
Then your computer might be too slow for it to work, I'll try to fix it when I have time.
I like it so far! Hope you finish it one day
